Dear Prospective Tutors,

Thank you for offering to participate in the American Youth Literacy Foundation's reading tutoring program. It is because of volunteers like you that we are able to provide help with reading skills to children who cannot afford private tutoring but who need lots of help with their reading skills development.

We have tutors from multiple high schools and colleges in the greater Philadelphia area and we currently teach at 15 locations including YMCA aftercare programs at local elementary schools and at public libraries.

If you are in grades 10-12 or a college undergrad and want to get involved you can fill out the information form and we will contact you regarding training and tutoring opportunities in your area. (Adults (not enrolled in school) please also fill out the form and we will send you information about our separate adult opportunities.)

This year we are allowing high school and college tutors to set up new libraries and aftercare locations where they want to teach. Once you complete our training we will help you tutor at a current location or we will help you develop a new relationship with a library or aftercare near your home.
